Hoeven – The police arrested an 18-year-old man from Roosendaal on Wednesday evening, November 8, 2023. He allegedly dealt drugs. The arrest took place on the Oude Antwerpsepostbaan.
Surveillance police officers saw a man on a scooter standing still on ‘t Groot Stuk on Wednesday evening, November 8, around 8:45 p.m. Because he was standing there in the pouring rain, the scooter rider attracted the attention of the officers. Especially when a man then walked from Haspelstraat to the scooter rider and both men then left again.
User amount of soft drugs
One police unit chased the scooter rider, while another police unit confronted the pedestrian. This man, who later turned out to be a 25-year-old resident of Roosendaal, could not identify himself. The police then searched the man. The police may do that, to look for something that proves the identity of that person. During this investigation, the officers saw that the man had a user-sized amount of soft drugs with him. He wouldn’t say how he got here. The officers confiscated the soft drugs. The man was then allowed to continue on his way.
In the meantime, other officers had pulled the scooter rider to the side of the road on the Oude Antwerpsepostbaan. This man, an 18-year-old Roosendaler, appeared to have a fanny pack (a fanny pack) with him. That bag contained several small packages containing user quantities of hard and soft drugs. The drugs have been seized. The Roosendaler was arrested on suspicion of possession of soft and hard drugs and on suspicion of dealing soft drugs. He had to go to the police station and spent the night in jail. He was interrogated today. Because the investigation is not yet complete, he is still in custody.
