Utrecht – The police arrested a 51-year-old man on Sunday morning, November 19, on suspicion of involvement in the fatal stabbing in a music venue earlier that day. The police tracked down the suspect through a report from an observant citizen.
The fatal stabbing took place at the music venue in Utrecht on Sunday morning around 7 a.m. The suspect and the victim, a 41-year-old man from Utrecht, knew each other from the cleaning industry. After the stabbing incident, the suspect ran off. Despite the efforts of numerous emergency services, the victim died on the spot.
The police started an investigation immediately after the incident and, among other things, distributed a description asking whether they wanted to look out for the suspect. A tip came in during the morning from an observant citizen. Partly thanks to this tip, the police managed to arrest a suspect. This concerned a 51-year-old man from Utrecht. The suspect is still in custody.
