Beekbergen – Sunday night and Monday morning around 2 a.m., a conflict took place in a house in a park on the Kaapbergweg in Beekbergen. That conflict was between several people. Initially, two men were injured, probably as a result of a stabbing incident. One of the injured men was taken to hospital by ambulance. This 32-year-old man from Beekbergen died this afternoon.
Another 21-year-old man was also injured during the conflict. He was treated by ambulance at the scene. The police arrested a 26-year-old man in the immediate vicinity on suspicion of criminal involvement in the stabbing incident. Like the victims, he lives in Beekbergen.
During the course of this Monday it became clear that there was a third victim on the premises. This 22-year-old man was injured during the conflict last night and suffered a head wound. This third victim independently went to the hospital for medical treatment. He also lives in Beekbergen.
Research
Last night the arrested suspect was transferred and taken into custody at the police station; he is being interrogated about the stabbing incident. In addition, several witnesses were interviewed on site about the conflict, the assault and the stabbing incident. Specialists have conducted forensic research in and around the house where the violent incident took place. The investigation will continue in the coming days.
