Purmerend – The police arrested an 18-year-old man in Amsterdam on Saturday, April 29, on suspicion of a street robbery in Purmerend on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
At around 6:25 p.m. on July 2, the victim got into his parked car on the Saarland when he saw two unknown men running towards him. One of the two opened the passenger door and the other forcefully pulled the man out of his car. Once out of the car, he was sprayed in the face with presumably pepper spray. The man was held by one man and the other man managed to steal his Rolex watch. They then ran off in the direction of a black car parked just down the street. Here the men got in and drove off at high speed. They left the victim injured and frightened.

The photos of the now arrested suspect have been removed from this post. He will be produced before the examining magistrate on Tuesday. The second robber is still being sought.
