The police discovered the lab after a report of a possible burglary at a sports club on Zwavertsweg. It turned out that the suspects had fled the scene. The police found a man in the area, after which they also found a lab where synthetic drugs were probably produced. The National Facility Dismantling (LFO) team then arrived on site. The 39-year-old suspect is in custody and is being interrogated. Possible multiple arrests cannot be ruled out.
If chemicals pose a threat to the environment, the LFO experts take action. LFO employees are trained to deal with these incidents at the highest safety level. The police have also started the investigation. The suspected lab will be dismantled at a later date.
