Stoov wants to keep you warm on the Day of the Home Worker

Ever heard of Stoov, if the answer is yes, you’re in good hands. In any other case you have to have some language knowledge because a – Stoof – is a thing of the past. It was a means (depending on the material) that gave warmth and then usually for your feet. And with that in mind, the Dutch Stoov (with a V) came up with a gadget that, now that working from home is the new standard, creates a lot of heat.

The new Stoov is a heating blanket that fits over your office chair. It all started in 2020, the year in which we were or were not forced to work from home. The concept of a home workplace was born. A new office chair at the expense of the boss, a 24-inch monitor as a second screen and then finding a place for a desk. Home workers at the coffee table, in the kitchen, in the attic and in the garage. The home office was given an extra dimension.

With a Big Hug you can finally get really warm

Many of those workplaces were not the most pleasant place to work in terms of temperature. You will certainly remember the images when during a Zoom meeting some colleagues were peeking into the camera with a jacket on. And then there was Stoov, a Dutch company and inventor of sustainable heating cushions and now the Big Hug, a warm hug in the form of a heating blanket suitable for almost every chair.

The Big Hug is a handy size blanket in multiple colors with three different heat settings. Because you make direct contact, hardly any energy is lost and you can finally really warm up. Because the Stoov heating blanket is made from recycled and recyclable materials, it is also environmentally friendly.

March 16 Day of the Home Worker

Today, March 16, we celebrate homeworker’s day, a great time to treat yourself, although your boss should of course do the same. Fortunately, we see each other more often at the office these days, but the concept of working from home is here to stay. Ultimately, it turned out that it does not have to be at the expense of the quality of your work.

Heat blanket smart gadget to save some energy

The Big Hugs literally feels like a warm blanket without feeling like you’re sitting on a sandwich maker. It is a pleasant warmth, perhaps best compared to your heated seats in the car.

The Big Hug is easy to carry, so also in the garden or wherever. The heating blankets are wireless and have a USB charger. This is useful because you can even charge them in the car or with a power bank. Washing is no problem, the covers can simply be put in the washing machine!

In that respect, the Big Hug is a smart gadget that makes you wonder why it was only invented now because it is also energy efficient. It will probably be standard in the car in a few years.

Easy in use

Using the Stoov is simple with the supplied charging cable and battery (12V). Charging takes about 3 hours on average. It lasts 100% fully charged for about 8 hours. Turning on is done with an original hidden switch with 3 positions. If you forget to turn off the heating blanket itself, it will stop automatically after 8 hours, overheating is further protected. Of course you have to let it cool down before you put it away.

The Big Hug is not really suitable for children. It is recommended to do this only under supervision and then with the minimum temperature. In short, a handy gadget with a lot of comfort and which can also save some money.
