In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday there was an explosion at a house in Hillegom. One person was slightly injured and ten homes were damaged. The police and fire brigade evacuated four homes for safety checks. There was also an explosion at a house in Rotterdam, but with a lighter explosive.

The explosion was reported to the police at around 04.45 and took place on Mauritslaan. Police have not released any information about how the victim was injured. An Explosives Security Team has been on site.
Nothing has become known about the perpetrator or perpetrators.
Fireworks
The police in Rotterdam report that around 00.30 local residents in the Paradijslaan heard a loud bang. Fireworks are believed to have been set off at a front door of a home. here too nothing is known about perpetrators.
In Rotterdam, there are sometimes explosions at homes several times a week. This is also a regular occurrence in the regions of Amsterdam and Antwerp. Conflicts in the drug environment are likely to arise in connection with the ‘removing’ of cocaine from containers at port sites.
