Six Dutch people convicted of committing attacks in Antwerp

The court in Antwerp convicted six Dutch people on Tuesday for carrying out attacks against buildings in the Antwerp region. They received sentences of up to five years in prison.

Nail bomb

The court assumes that the orders for the attacks came from the drug environment.

In September 2022, four Dutch people were involved in an explosion on Eilandje, where a homemade nail bomb was detonated in Zeevaartstraat. The facade of banana importer Leon Van Parys was damaged.

Beveren

A few months earlier, ten shots were fired at the home of a dock worker in Kasteeldreef in Beveren.

The Dutch all come from the The Hague region.

Driver Mohamed C. and intermediary Ismail K. (27) were sentenced to five years in prison and a 2,000 euro fine. Four executors were each given four years in prison and a fine of 1,600 euros.
