Amsterdam – On Monday evening, several shots were fired in a residential complex on Kinkerstraat. No one was injured in this.

Around 7:45 p.m., residents of the complex are startled by various explosions and alert the police. Several witnesses also indicate that shortly after the shots they saw two men running away in the direction of Bellamyplein. A few minutes later, the alarmed police officers realize that there is a car on the Bilderdijkstraat in which two people meet the description given by witnesses.

Free feet
The two persons are then talked out of the car by means of the ‘Approach technique to dangerous suspects’, handcuffed, searched and taken to the police station. It soon became apparent at the station that these arrested suspects had nothing to do with the shooting incident and were therefore immediately released.
