The Supreme Court of the Netherlands is a special organization. As an employee on the service desk, it is important that you work accurately. Because you are in constant contact with stakeholders, a customer-oriented attitude is important. You ensure that everyone is always assisted as best as possible. You view your work critically and, above all, analytically.

MBO working and thinking level; demonstrable practical IT knowledge, particularly focused on user support; insight into the applications and infrastructure and their role in the work processes within the Supreme Court; knowledge of ITIL.

As an IT Service Desk employee, you are the first point of contact for (end) users for all IT questions and requests. You provide direct support for disruptions and questions about ICT services and ensure a quick solution. In addition, you are responsible for identifying and analyzing common failures, implementing structural solutions to prevent recurrence. If there are more complex problems, you refer them to application or infrastructure management. You also supervise the handling of failures in applications and/or the technical infrastructure and regularly communicate with users about progress. In addition to solving malfunctions, you are also actively involved in preventive maintenance of various equipment, such as printers and scanners, and you are responsible for timely replacements due to wear and tear. When it comes to security issues and data leaks, you respond proactively and act as point of contact for IT incidents. You are also responsible for the management of IT equipment, including issue, collection and associated instructions for users. You also facilitate online meeting requests and provide support with photography and film recording for various purposes, such as creating portrait guides and recording events.

The Supreme Court of the Netherlands is the highest court in the field of civil law, criminal law and tax law. As a cassation judge, she assesses whether the judge in the previous instance has properly interpreted and applied the law. The Supreme Court also has other legal instruments to answer legal questions. In this way, the Supreme Court contributes to legal unity, legal formation and legal protection. The legal tasks of the Supreme Court have an important social dimension. In the performance of its duties, the Supreme Court serves the government and society. In addition to the council, the Supreme Court also includes the public prosecutor’s office and the Operations Directorate.
