Serious traffic accident exit A27, police are looking for witnesses

Utrecht – In a very serious traffic accident near the A27 Veemarkt exit with the Bilste Rading, a 66-year-old woman from Woerden died on Friday, April 21. A young child was seriously injured in the accident. His condition is worrisome.

That afternoon around 3.45 pm, the victim crossed the road with two children near the exit with the A27 Veemarkt exit with two children and was hit by a 57-year-old motorist from Huizen. The assistance was immediately started, including a Mobile Medical Team (MMT) and other agencies. Despite all efforts on site, the 66-year-old woman died. One of the children was seriously injured in the accident. He was transported to a hospital. The other child was unharmed. The 57-year-old driver of the car was arrested and transferred to a police station for a statement and further investigation.
