What challenge do we offer?

As a Senior GEO Information Advisor you are crucial in developing, implementing and managing Geographic Information Systems (GIS). You translate issues into GEO information products, advise on possibilities and coordinate with colleagues. With your work you facilitate the organization to operate data-driven and information-driven.

What responsibilities will you get?

Through smart combinations and in-depth analyses, you transform raw data into valuable information that is essential for various activities. With a keen eye for quality, you assess different data flows and see the potential of Geographic Information Provision.

A selection of your activities:

• Advising on the development, design, implementation and management of geographical information.
• Collecting, analyzing and assessing geographic data with various software tools;
• Design, implement and manage GIS solutions to meet organizational challenges;
• Provide support to users of GIS applications and systems, including troubleshooting and training;
• Communicating with stakeholders on GEO information products;
• Research and monitor trends in GIS technology for potential implementation within the organization.

What are you good at

As a bridge builder, you work closely with colleagues from various departments, where you are the first point of contact. You ask the right questions to provide the necessary information and dashboards that our teams need. You are also a crucial player in supporting employees and management on important policy issues. Consider the transition to data-driven working, the energy transition, the environmental law and the challenges in the field of housing construction. In short, your role is invaluable in steering crucial developments and optimizing our municipal processes.

What experience do you build on?

We would like to see the following in you:

• HBO working and thinking level;
• Experience with various GIS applications and ETL tooling such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, FME Desktop and FME server;
• Experience with databases;
• You have insight into and knowledge of basic registrations, standards and data models, with a focus on Geographic Information Provision (e.g. Geonovum);
• It is an advantage if you have knowledge and experience with Agile and Scrum.

• Gross monthly salary of a maximum of €5,247 based on 36 hours per week in accordance with scale 10;
