You translate issues into GEO information products, advise on possibilities and coordinate with colleagues. With your work you facilitate the organization to operate data-driven and information-driven.

What responsibilities will you get?

We believe in the power of good and reliable data as the foundation for all our work processes. Your role? Unifying and visualizing data, both for your colleagues and for our residents. Through smart combinations and in-depth analyses, you transform raw data into valuable information that is essential for various activities. With a keen eye for quality, you assess different data flows and see the potential of Geographic Information Provision.

A selection of your activities:

  • Advising on the development, design, implementation and management of geographical information.
  • Collecting, analyzing and assessing geographic data with various software tools;
  • Design, implement and manage GIS solutions to meet organizational challenges;
  • Provide support to users of GIS applications and systems, including troubleshooting and training;
  • Communicating with stakeholders on GEO information products;
  • Research and monitor trends in GIS technology for potential implementation within the organization.

What are you good at

As a bridge builder, you work closely with colleagues from various departments, where you are the first point of contact. You ask the right questions to provide the necessary information and dashboards that our teams need. You are also a crucial player in supporting employees and management on important policy issues. Consider the transition to data-driven working, the energy transition, the environmental law and the challenges in the field of housing construction. In short, your role is invaluable in steering crucial developments and optimizing our municipal processes.

What experience do you build on?

We would like to see the following in you:

  • HBO working and thinking level;
  • Experience with various GIS applications and ETL tooling such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, FME Desktop and FME server;
  • Experience with databases;
  • You have insight into and knowledge of basic registrations, standards and data models, with a focus on Geographic Information Provision (e.g. Geonovum);
  • It is an advantage if you have knowledge and experience with Agile and Scrum.

What do we offer

There are plenty of challenges waiting for you. In return, we are happy to offer you good employment conditions, namely:

  • Gross monthly salary of a maximum of €5,247 based on 36 hours per week in accordance with scale 10;
  • Individual choice budget of a maximum of €1,038.91 per month based on 19.8% IKB;
  • Company laptop and mobile phone;
  • A flexible holiday package of four weeks as standard and the option to extend by another five weeks;
  • A wide range of course and training options, aimed at your growth and development;
  • A sustainable pension through the ABP pension fund, 70% of which is reimbursed by the municipality of Lansingerland;
  • A 12-month employment contract with the prospect of an indefinite contract.

About the organization

Lansingerland is a dynamic municipality in the heart of the Rotterdam The Hague Metropolitan Region, consisting of the centers of Berkel and Rodenrijs, Bergschenhoek and Bleiswijk. The municipality is characterized by beautiful residential areas and good facilities such as shops, schools, sports facilities and recreational opportunities and a rich club life. Community spirit, entrepreneurship and sustainability determine our identity. As a Greenport, Lansingerland is the knowledge center for high-tech agribusiness and is increasingly developing as a logistics center. More than 250 hectares are reserved for innovative and recreational companies (more than in neighboring Rotterdam). The municipality of Lansingerland has more than 60,000 inhabitants. There is still a lot of construction going on. The council has identified five key points: finances in order; creating and utilizing opportunities in the sale of land for businesses and homes; healthy and powerful society; realistically sustainable; and manage differently with district-oriented work and smart organization. These spearheads form the heart of the policy. We are looking for an energetic colleague for our dynamic municipality who can think ‘out of the box’ and enjoys challenges. We are looking for one for our BIF department
