Second suspect (15) of two Zoetermeer explosions arrested

Zoetermeer, De Lier, The Hague – The police arrested a second suspect on Monday, November 6, in the investigation into two explosions in Zoetermeer. On Friday evening, a 17-year-old resident from De Lier reported this case. The arrested suspect is a 15-year-old boy from The Hague.

During the night of Monday 16 to Tuesday 17 October, two explosions took place in Zoetermeer. The first explosion, around 11 p.m., in Streefkerkstraat. The second took place around 11:25 PM in Ruivenstraat. Fortunately, no one was injured in these explosions, the homes were damaged by the explosions.

The public prosecutor gave them the opportunity to report to the police. The second suspect was arrested after an extensive criminal investigation. The previously arrested 17-year-old suspect was brought before an examining magistrate on Monday, November 6. He decided to extend his pre-trial detention. The suspect arrested today is in custody and will be heard.
