It is obviously very important that we take in this news. After all, it highlights an important part of the world we live in. At the same time, the good news is often overlooked.
The new SBS6 program GoedNieuws Today changes this. No naive topics in which reality is looked at through rose-colored glasses, but current and journalistic themes with an explicit focus on more optimistic developments in all kinds of areas and solutions to social problems. GoedNieuws Today, which is presented by Donatello Piras and Nikki Herr, can be seen live on SBS6 every working day at 6 p.m. from Monday, October 2.
‘Good news is not news’ is a popular statement. It’s easy to lose sight of the many positive events and inspiring stories happening around the world. GoedNieuws Today does not do that. On the contrary. The new program focuses on positive, optimistic developments. Scientific breakthroughs in the medical field, sustainable peace negotiations and a fundraising campaign to help a local resident: everything can happen, from local to global scale.
The GoedNieuws Today editorial team works with partners such as StemWijzer, #Usethenews, Central Bureau of Statistics, Bright Vibes and the University of the Netherlands. Correspondents from De Telegraaf are collecting good news from all over the world especially for this new program.
In addition to presenters Donatello Piras and Nikki Herr, other journalistic faces can also be seen in GoedNieuws Today. Sofie van den Enk, Raymond Mens, Talitha Muusse and Rens de Jong join us as interpreters of the news. In addition, a group of about twenty substantive experts from the field have committed themselves to the program.
