Robbery of Bijlmerplein jeweler

Amsterdam – Saturday morning, November 11, 2023, two boys robbed a jewelry store on Bijlmerplein in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. Employees are threatened with a firearm and a display case is smashed. The two suspects leave with stolen jewelry and no one is injured. The police are looking for witnesses to this robbery in broad daylight.

Around 10.55 am, a witness calls the police that a robbery is in progress at a jeweler on Bijlmerplein. The robbers threaten the staff present with a firearm and smash a display case. Once they have captured jewelry, they flee from the store to Bijlmerplein. Officers go to the scene and find the shocked employees left behind. Fortunately, no one is injured in this brazen robbery in broad daylight with many shoppers. There is havoc in the store due to the smashed display case.

The suspects flee from Bijlmerplein towards Foppingadreef and are last seen on an electric scooter at the parking garage at Haardstee. Officers and a police helicopter are still searching for the robbers, but unfortunately they can no longer be found.
