'RKC hopes for 'son of' at FC Utrecht and wants to deposit a rare transfer amount'

RKC Waalwijk hopes to take over Ruben Kluivert from FC Utrecht. It could be the next hint that trainer Henk Fraser, who was already associated with RKC, is also coming to Waalwijk.

According to De Telegraaf, RKC wants to take into account a possible departure of Shawn Adewoye. The club rarely pays a transfer amount for players, but now seems willing to change that, given that Kluivert’s contract runs until 2024 in the Dom city, with an extra year of option. Kluivert made the switch from AFC to Jong FC Utrecht in 2018 and made his breakthrough under trainer Darije Kalezic.

Fraser worked with Kluivert at FC Utrecht and was pleased with the player, who cannot count on much playing time under Michael Silberbauer. Voetbal International stated earlier in April that Fraser is the main candidate to succeed Joseph Oosting, who will start working at FC Twente after this season. The interest in Kluivert could indicate that Fraser’s appointment is also only a matter of time.
