Rik Felderhof is 75 years old and is taking it easy these days. He has different houses in different countries, Rik tells in Nieuwe Revu: “I rotate a bit between Bonaire, Tanzania and Saint-Tropez because I find life much more pleasant there. My foreign accommodations are in countries with a pleasant climate where I don’t have to wear a winter coat a single day of the year. I enjoy the wonderful tranquility that these areas can offer me. The rippling water on Bonaire or the vast fields of Tanzania instead of the hectic pace of the Netherlands. By the way, I come to Tanzania a little less than before.”
Rik will soon return to Saint-Tropez to look back on fourteen seasons of ‘Villa Felderhof’. The program stopped thirteen years ago, but is still fresh in everyone’s memory. Rik: “I had memorable conversations with Caroline Card, Bart de Graaff, Liesbeth List, Pim Fortuyn, Els Borst and André Hazes, among others. I visit the cemeteries again, the swimming pool and the table between the vineyards. Hopefully a broadcaster will also see something in broadcasting it.
