Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez can approach qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix with great confidence. The Red Bull Racing duo constantly alternated at the top of the time table, but in the end it was Verstappen who set the fastest time with a 1:12.776. Pérez followed at 0.073 from his teammate. The session was halted minutes before the end after a crash by Lewis Hamilton, who lost control of the W14 and hit the wall at turn five. Training was not resumed.
