PSV still has a bite and presents midfielder after the transfer window closes

PSV has strengthened itself with eighteen-year-old Dantaye Gilbert. The midfielder from Trinidad and Tobago will sign in Eindhoven until mid-2025 and will initially join Jong PSV. The young player’s name suddenly popped up on Deadline Day.

For a long time there was talk of CJ Egan-Riley for the position in the center of the back of PSV’s promises. However, nothing more was heard from the Burnley defender on Deadline Day. So it was switched to Gilbert, who can also play in the back. For the first team, Armel Bella-Kotchap was brought in as a defender at the last minute. The German was brought in because previous deals with Zeno Debast and Jarrad Branthwaite, among others, failed.

The transfer had been completed for some time, but PSV decided to only present it after the great transfer violence. It is not the first time that Gilbert can be admired in Eindhoven. The defender has already done an internship in the past. Gilbert played during practice matches and showed to be valuable offensively as well as defensively. Previously, Gilbert played for San Juan Jabloteh from his native Trinidad and Tobago.
