‘PSV exit from Sangaré is now complete, transfer fee is lower than expected’

It is now complete: Ibrahim Sangaré will exchange PSV for Nottingham Forest. This is reported by the German branch of Sky. The developments surrounding the Ivorian follow each other in rapid succession, but it is now clear that Sangaré will leave Eindhoven. PSV will receive thirty million euros, plus bonuses.

Initially, there was still talk of a transfer fee of around 35 million euros for PSV. In any case, that is not the basic amount that the people of Eindhoven will receive for Sangaré. Nottingham will initially transfer thirty million euros. It is not clear how high that amount can still rise via bonuses. The Eindhovens Dagblad contradicts this, by the way: the local medium claims that PSV will receive 35 million for Sangaré.

The international also had a buyout clause of 37.5 million euros in his contract, but it is clear that Nottingham has to pay less. PSV and Nottingham are now only discussing the payment structure.

In recent hours, a compelling transfer game has played out around Sangaré. After the Champions League qualification, the midfielder seemed to stay with PSV, but nothing could be further from the truth. Sangaré was taken over by PSV from Toulouse in the summer of 2020. He turned out to be a supporting force in the Eindhoven midfield. In total, the African came into action 140 times for the team from Eindhoven.
