Your role:
As a Services Product Owner, you are continuously looking for new opportunities in the market and you investigate how value can be added for residents, entrepreneurs or visitors. You translate new ideas into concrete products and apps together with the client and the scrum team in co-creation. Every day you work together with colleagues in the scrum team, where you determine the prioritization and the work inventory together with the Business Owner for the team of designers and functional managers. You are the bridge between the resident and our software solutions.

  • The Product Owner translates the offered (IT) solution into practical implementation on the work floor.
  • The Product Owner knows the back end of the various systems and their interrelationships better than anyone else
  • The Product Owner sees opportunities and can translate them into requirements that the scrum teams can work on.
  • The Product Owner monitors this process so that the output delivered meets the wishes of the customer/market and represents the customer’s interests.
  • The Product Owner, together with the business, helps the scrum team during testing phases and the implementation of new or updated systems and ensures the transfer of information to the work floor/end user.

Sector head Barbara Crützen; There is a need for insight and overview. And this in a culture of continuous improvement. Many of the improvements have a digital component, prioritizing, but especially realizing concrete solutions is a challenge where I see a major and especially practical role for the Product Owner.

Who do you do that with?
The Product Owner works together with the management, with the Product Owners of the various disciplines, with the Business Owner and with colleagues from I&B.

This is what you bring:

  • You have completed studies at HBO or WO level and at least a number of years of experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master;
  • You have an affinity with the municipal market and specifically with services;
  • You have experience with Agile working methods;
  • You have a proactive attitude, you are enterprising and show initiative.
  • You are strongly focused on achieving results and quality;
  • You are enthusiastic, analytical and technically strong;
  • You have good communication skills and can convince people of your position;
  • You can work well together and have experience with stakeholder management.

Perhaps you do not yet have experience in one of the above competencies, but do you see yourself working as a Product Owner? We would also like to invite you to respond to this vacancy. Together with you, we will look at how we can support you to grow in the role.
