The target group of the Local Chamber includes residents who are classified as causing a nuisance, criminal or (threateningly) radicalized, worrying care avoiders and residents with multiple problems who are not self-reliant. The Local Chamber also provides process and case management for the target group of youth with the above-mentioned problems. Specifically for the latter target group, we are looking for expertise to strengthen the team in this area.

How do you matter?

  • You chair case consultations and push for supported solutions when assistance stagnates or is unavailable
  • You ensure that a joint customized plan is drawn up based on a good analysis and that this plan is actually implemented
  • You are the hub in the network of young people, partners from the criminal, healthcare and municipal chain
  • You offer advice to colleagues and chain partners
  • You act as a link between the social domain and the Public Order and Safety domain.

What does your day look like?
You start your day with a youth approach meeting in which new cases are discussed with the youth officer and the municipality. After this consultation, there will be an appointment with your colleagues to discuss who will tackle which case. For the case you are taking on, you contact the young person, his parents and the chain partners involved. You schedule a home visit with the youth officer and send an invitation for the case meeting. After a nice lunch in the company restaurant, you have a case meeting of a young person with whom you have been involved for a number of months. You end the day by checking a report and a newly received detention report.

What are you bringing?

  • HBO work and thinking level. A completed HBO education in SPH or MWD or Social work is an advantage
  • You are in possession of an SKJ registration
  • In-depth knowledge of the (local) youth care chain, judicial chain and the challenges
    between assistance and enforcement
  • You are enthusiastic, can create support, dare to make decisions and can
    negotiate well
  • You are able to maintain an overview in complex situations and activate others
  • You have the ability to empathize with other interests and visions

What do we do for you?

  • In this permanent job you start with a temporary employment contract of 12 months
  • Individual choice budget (IKB) worth 17.05% of the salary (incl. holiday pay and end-of-year bonus)
  • Personal development opportunities and study facilities
  • Work from home options, an iPhone and laptop

Will you be working here soon?
Working for the Work, Income, Youth and Care department (WIJZ) means working on the safety net for people who have ended up in vulnerable circumstances. For example, residents who need support to find work, residents with debts or income problems, the elderly with care problems and children in need. You work together with external parties from the region such as healthcare providers and schools. This is the department where you can really make a difference for people who just can’t make it.
