Schijndel – The police entered the wrong house in Schijndel on Saturday evening, November 11, to make an arrest. A family with three small children was present in the home at the time of the raid.
The investigation revolves around a person who is wanted and whose arrest entails possible risks. That is why the house was entered by the police arrest unit. They entered the house around 8:30 PM by forcing the front door. However, it soon became clear that we had been wrong. In the house we found a family with three small children. They appeared to have no relationship whatsoever with the person sought.
Naturally, the family is very shocked by what happened to them. The police deeply regret what happened and of course we have apologized. We are also in close contact with them about further handling. How it could have happened that the wrong home was entered will of course be further investigated.
We cannot and do not want to share any more information about the investigation and the person being sought at this time. He has not been arrested yet.
