Police prevent drug transfer and arrest three suspects

Disc – Police officers probably disrupted a drug transfer on Thursday afternoon, March 30, 2023. They arrested three suspects and seized a large amount of soft drugs. The arrested suspects are a 27-year-old man from Oudenbosch, a 20-year-old woman from Belgium and a 19-year-old man from Belgium.

A local police officer had reported that he received signals that drugs were being dealt in the woods near the Schietbaan. Surveillance police units investigated this on Thursday afternoon. They saw several cars in a parking lot on the Nederheidsebaan and decided to check them. In two of the cars, the officers found several bags containing soft drugs. The drivers of the car, a 27-year-old man from Oudenbosch and a 19-year-old man from Belgium and his 20-year-old co-driver have been arrested on suspicion of possession/trafficking in narcotics. The three suspects were taken to the police station and put in jail. Their cars and phones have also been seized for further investigation. The police also spoke to everyone else present at the scene and checked their cars. They were then allowed to continue on their way.

Fair amount

The police investigation showed that the two cars together contained about 18 kilos of hemp and about 1.5 kilos of hashish. The consignments of drugs have been seized. After finding the consignments of drugs, police officers also conducted an investigation in the home of the Dutch suspect. No details were found. The police are continuing the investigation. The suspects are still in custody and will be questioned today.
