Police make arrests after street robbery in Blokker

Blokker – The police made four arrests on Wednesday, April 11, after a report of a street robbery at the Bramleylaan in Blokker. A 14-year-old boy was robbed of his belongings. The arrested suspects are a 17-year-old boy, two 16-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy. All suspects come from the municipality of Hoorn. Their role in the robbery is under investigation.

The 14-year-old boy was in the playground with three people before he wanted to go home. On his way home from Bramleylaan, two boys passed him on a scooter. The boys got off the scooter and one of them started assaulting the 14-year-old boy. A few minutes later, three more people joined the two attackers and one of them also began to assault the victim. Subsequently, the boy was robbed of his belongings. The victim managed to escape and called the police. The victim did not have to go to the hospital, but is very shaken.

A Burgernet report was sent out after the incident. With information from an attentive witness, the police were able to arrest four people who matched the description. They have been taken to the station and their role in the robbery is being investigated. A fifth person was not arrested, but his involvement is being investigated.
