Police: Hells Angels meeting place closed

The police say that on Monday evening a building that served as a meeting place for Hells Angels was raided in Utrecht on behalf of the Public Prosecution Service. That motorcycle club is banned in the Netherlands. The building turned out to be hung with images and logos Hells Angels MC and seemed to serve as a pub. Six people present were arrested.

Twin Street

It concerns a building in the southern city center of Utrecht on Twijnstraat aan de Werf. The building has been closed immediately by the municipality of Utrecht.

There were signals from, among others, the municipality and the police, which led to the suspicion that the building was not inhabited, but was instead used as a meeting place for the banned motorcycle club.

In the building, the device did not appear to be intended for residential purposes, according to the police, but for prohibited catering purposes.

High Council

One of the suspects had several pony packs with drugs and an extendable baton in his pocket when he was arrested.

On Friday, July 15, 2022, the Supreme Court ruled that the earlier ruling of the ban on the Hells Angels organizations in the Netherlands is upheld. The Hells Angels MC has therefore been declared irrevocably prohibited. All expressions of the Hells Angels after this date add to the suspicion of the continuation of this banned organization.
