Police grab tens of thousands of ecstasy pills along the A12

On Friday, police officers on the A12 near Woerden seized tens of thousands of ecstasy pills. The police say that around 9 p.m. a motorist on the A12 did not keep sufficiently to the right.

The man was then stopped. By chance, the officers found 12 big shopper bags full of pills in the car. The driver was a 34-year-old man of unknown place of residence. He was arrested and remained in custody on Saturday.

The exact amount and type of drugs has not yet been determined. In addition to the drugs, the suspect’s car and two telephones were also seized for the investigation.
