Police find drugs in hidden space of car

Tilburg – A 29-year-old Tilburg citizen was arrested on Friday, March 15, 2024 at around 10:50 PM on Burgemeester Suijsstraat on suspicion of drug trafficking. In a hidden space in the car he was driving, officers found bags containing cocaine, ketamine and ecstasy pills. He is locked up in the cell complex.

The police received several reports this month via Report Crime Anonymous (0800-7000) that a 29-year-old Tilburg resident was allegedly dealing drugs from his car. He has been arrested for such things before. Plainclothes officers saw him on Friday evening on Paduaplein, involved in a possible drug deal. He was then put aside by a recognizable unit. This was followed by an inspection under the Opium Act. Inside the vehicle, police officers found a plastic bag containing 42 zip-lock bags containing white powder in a hidden cavity that tested positive for cocaine. The officers also found 17 zipper bags containing suspected ketamine and 50 ecstasy pills. The car, all drugs and 475 euros in cash that the suspect had with him were seized.
