Goirle – A dead man was found at a business park on Oude Beeksepad around 3:45 a.m. in the night of Tuesday, February 21 to Wednesday, February 22. Who this man is and how he died is being investigated. Officers searched for the man following a report of a missing person. The police were already in the area because of another report about a suspicious situation.
The report of a suspicious situation involving several cars was received by the control room around 1:30 a.m. When colleagues wanted to check a car on the spot, it took off only to come to a stop a little later against a fence on Ambrosiusweg. The driver jumped out and took off. Five dogs were found in the car and have been seized for investigation. Around 07.30 a 26-year-old man from Oosterhout was arrested, he matched the driver’s description.
Investigations are underway into both the dead man and the car with dogs. Police are treating it as two separate incidents. Because it cannot be ruled out that they are related, a connection is being investigated.
