Police are looking for witnesses to Van der Pekstraat robbery

Amsterdam – On Monday, May 15, 2023, a man was robbed of his personal belongings under threat of a knife. The police are looking for witnesses.

On May 15, around 10:15 a.m., the victim arrived by ferry at Buiksloterweg in Amsterdam-Noord. He then drives his scooter into the Van der Pekstraat. There comes another scooter next to him, with two people on it. They tell the driver to stop. The victim then has to hand over his bag under threat of a knife, after which the suspects drive away in the direction of the Ranonkelkade.

The suspects rode a black scooter and had the following description:

Director:

  • Slightly tinted
  • Between 30 and 35 years old
  • 1 day beard
  • Wear a thin coat
  • Sweatpants on
  • Dark system helmet on
  • Gloves on

Passenger:

  • Dark tinted
  • Between 30 and 35 years old
  • 170 to 180 cm long
  • Wear light brown pants
  • Wear a thin coat
  • Wear dark gloves
