Twello – The police are investigating after a taxi driver was robbed in Twello on Wednesday evening. The man had to hand over possessions under threat of a weapon. The two suspected assailants ran off.

Between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM, the taxi driver, a 28-year-old man from Amsterdam, came to pick up customers for a ride at the Paulus Potterstraat in Twello. Unfortunately, the two ‘customers’ had less good intentions. They threatened the victim, assaulted him and ran off.

Two suspected perpetrators

It would concern two men who ran away after the incident in the direction of the Adriaan van Ostadestraat. One of the men had a dark complexion, long dreadlocks and was about 20 to 30 years old. The other man was light skinned, also about 20 to 30 years old and clearly shorter than the other man. He was wearing a blue hooded jacket and a cap.

Hints and images

Police are urgently looking for witnesses to the incident. Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, can aid the investigation. Camera images from the area can also be essential. In addition to surveillance cameras, also think of dashcams or video doorbells. If there is something striking to see on it, we would like to hear about it.
