Police are looking for suspect in Amsterdam-Noord shooting

A shooting took place on the Parlevinkerpad in Amsterdam-Noord on Thursday evening. The police reported on Friday that it is not known whether anyone was injured. The shooting occurred after an argument between two men.

Around 6.30 pm the police received a report that a shot had been heard on the Parlevinkerpad near the Banneplein. At the scene it turns out that shots have actually been fired and that a man and child have to take cover behind a parked car. According to witnesses, an argument between two men caused the shooting incident. Images show that a bullet casing ended up in one of the tires of a police car.

After the shot, the shooter flees in the direction of IJdoornlaan and the complainant also runs away. This complainant has not yet reported to the police. Detectives say they are urgently looking for him. It is unclear whether he was injured.

Detectives are also looking for a woman who was close to the arguing men and witnessed the incident.

It concerns a light-skinned man of approximately 25 years old with short curly hair. He is approximately 1.75 meters tall and has a slim build. He also wore a black puffer jacket and dark sweatpants with a white stripe.
