On February 24, 2022, the unimaginable happened. War on our continent. For the first time since World War II, a country in Europe invaded another. This week podcast De Dag is all about one year of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. A war that started in 2014, but which escalated into a large-scale conflict, in which we are all now involved. Today: one year of large-scale war in audio, an annual overview in sound, compiled by NOS foreign editor Chiem Balduk.
In the coming days we will continue to talk with and about the faces of this war: the victims, refugees, stragglers, reporters and analysts. We follow the trail of Ukrainian and Russian soldiers. And analyze how the lives of the most famous faces of this war, the presidents Putin and Zelensky, have changed in one year as a result of the war.
