Breda – A pill printing company was found in a building on Oranje Nassauplein on Sunday, February 26, 2023 after an investigation. No one has been arrested yet.
Upon arrival around 6 p.m., officers see a person fleeing the house, after which they decide to enter the house. They find a pill printing company in the house. The fire service arrives on site to take measurements, but conclude that there is no danger to the environment. Agents cordon off the area and specialist services arrive on site to investigate and remove the items found. The first investigation shows that it concerns several kilograms of XTC pills. Amphetamine has also been found.
A firearm was also found during a search of the home. This has been confiscated.
What is a pill press?
A pill printing company, also known as a tableting place, is a place where XTC pills are printed with tableting machines. At these locations, the active substances are often mixed with coloring powders and binders, and machines with stamps are used to shape the pills. There is a danger in these locations: the attraction to other (armed) criminals. Due to the presence of many kilos of drug powders and hardware, this makes it a place with very desirable goods for other criminals, where violence is often not avoided.
