McLaren, Haas, Williams and Stake F1 Team have already unveiled their new livery in recent days. Stake F1 Team revealed much more and also revealed details about the new car. On Wednesday afternoon it is the turn of the Alpine team. The French racing team will unveil the new livery of the A524 on Pierre Gasly’s birthday.
Although there will still be an official presentation for McLaren’s new car, exactly half of the cars have been unveiled after Wednesday. The British racing team was the first to unveil the new livery and the Haas team followed suit last week. This week there were four presentations on the program. These presentations were kicked off by Williams and Stake F1, who took the curtains off the cars on Monday. On Thursday, the renewed Visa Cash App RB will present the car.
On Wednesday it is Alpine’s turn, the racing team that finished sixth in the championship in the 2023 season. The curtain is lifted from the A524 and the team already shared several teasers of the new car in the run-up to the presentation. The pink color will probably be prominently present on the car again, thanks to BWT, a sponsor of the team. In addition, the cars with which Alpine will compete in the World Endurance Championship will also be announced.
Alpine unveils car on Gasly’s birthday
It is not only a memorable day for Alpine, Gasly can also celebrate a personal party. The French driver is blowing out 28 candles. The former driver of AlphaTauri and Red Bull Racing will be driving his second season for Alpine. Gasly does this once again alongside fellow countryman Esteban Ocon. Last season, Gasly narrowly defeated his teammate. Both drivers suffered a lot of bad luck and Alpine naturally hopes to limit this next season. However, the drivers both stood on the podium once.
Much more carbon on new A542
Alpine’s new car mainly has more carbon. The previous car was mainly blue and these shades are still there. In addition, a large part of the car has been overhauled. From the front wing to the suspension and sidepods; Alpine has done a lot of work to improve the car. This should help Ocon and Gasly take a step forward with a more stable aerodynamic platform and more downforce.
This coming season, Alpine will not only be driving with blue shades. The French racing team has BWT on board as one of its sponsors, which means that a pink car will also be used. The team will select a few races to do this, but it is still unclear when this will happen. Last year Alpine raced in the first three Grands Prix with the pink livery.
