For the first time since the 1980s, a Formula 1 Grand Prix is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas. This time there will be no driving in the parking lot of Caesars Palace, but the cars will race along the famous Las Vegas Strip. The race will be held under artificial lights, which means that the Grand Prix will already be held on Saturday in the United States. While the drivers have to stay up late, the Dutch viewer has to get up early.
The Grand Prix of Las Vegas starts on Sunday at 7:00 AM Dutch time. The starting time therefore corresponds to the times of the Grands Prix of Australia and Japan. Without red flags, the race will end somewhere between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM Dutch time. You have to get out of bed even earlier for the first and third free training on Friday and Saturday. These both start at 5:30 am Dutch time. The full timetable can be found below.

What can we expect from Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Grand Prix poses the biggest question mark for the teams and drivers this season. The circuit is completely new and the drivers will have only explored the track a bit in the simulator. The circuit has a total of seventeen corners and is approximately 6.2 kilometers in length. In addition to the seventeen corners, the track also has a very long straight stretch along The Strip. This straight stretch is almost two kilometers in length.
In addition to the fact that the circuit is still unknown territory, the teams will also have to deal with special circumstances. Since it is an evening race and it is already November, temperatures will not be very high during the sessions. These weather conditions are not usual for a Grand Prix weekend, but they are for the winter testing in Barcelona. The tires and the drivers will have a tough time in a completely different way, especially compared to the race weekend in Qatar.
