Papendrecht – Since the end of last week, police officers of the base team Drechtsteden Buiten (Papendrecht, Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, Sliedrecht, Zwijndrecht and Alblasserdam) have been working from a new police station at Burgemeester Keijzerweg 26 in Papendrecht. It has become a new and modern agency that is ready for the future. The previous office at the Poldermolen in Papendrecht is no longer in use with immediate effect.
The new office is located on the edge of a recreational area close to arterial roads and centrally located in the working area. It has become a comfortable, light and well-arranged building. During the design, ‘the police of tomorrow’ has always been taken into account. For example, seven closed ground sources have been installed for cooling the building, the building is gasless and equipped with a maximum number of solar panels for energy supply. Taking into account future electric police vehicles, twelve charging stations have been installed at the building. The office has room for 160 colleagues.
Police station at the Poldermolen no longer in use
The previous office at the Poldermolen in Papendrecht has been sold and is no longer in use by the police. Apart from this new location, everything remains the same for citizens. We can be reached in the ways that citizens are already used to from us. “If you need us, we look forward to seeing you at our new agency!”
