The Team Online
You are part of the central Online Team and, together with colleagues, responsible for the management and further development of www.alphenaandenrijn.nl and other digital channels and applications such as e-forms. As a content planner, you work together with the business in a structured way to update information on the website. To do this, you actively conduct discussions with various stakeholders in the organization. In these conversations you can effortlessly bring interests together. You involve the right people per topic and easily retrieve information from different teams.

What are you going to do?
As an online specialist you are literally the spider in the web. No day is the same. You ensure that information on www.alphenaandenrijn.nl and other digital applications is presented in a findable and accessible manner. One moment you’re busy writing web texts. And the next moment you are working on the blueprint of a digital form with which visitors can request products and services from the municipality online.

You are a sparring partner for your colleagues for everything related to the municipality’s online products and services. With your proactive attitude, digital skills and creative ideas, you provide (un)solicited advice on suitable solutions. You always put the customer first and use available data to substantiate your advice. You understand the interplay of different channels and what it takes to offer online visitors a correct customer journey.

During a crisis situation, you may be called upon to fulfill a position within the crisis organization. This means that during a crisis your regular work is subordinate to the work before the crisis.

Who are we looking for?
As an Online Specialist you excel in masterful editorial skills, converting complex information into clear, customer-oriented communication. You are technically competent with content management systems, web tools such as SiteImprove and Adobe Pro. Your language sensitivity makes you adept at creating clear, privacy and security-compliant texts.

Your SEO expertise increases online visibility through in-depth knowledge of SEO principles. You are known as a proactive problem solver, always resistant to stress and willing to tackle problems. As a team player, you enthusiastically share knowledge, contribute to a positive atmosphere and work together towards shared goals.

Your affinity with the local government and your ability to identify with the specific identity and culture of our organization are unique. In short, you are not only technically skilled, but also a collaborative, communicative and proactive force within our team.

You also recognize yourself in the following:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position, preferably in a municipal organization.
  • Familiarity with privacy & security and accessibility guidelines for websites.
  • Experience with SEO and affinity with web tools such as SiteImprove, Screaming Frog and Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Pro for making PDF documents accessible is a plus.
  • Critical attitude, an eye for quality and details in all aspects of your work.
  • Work experience and affinity with local government and the willingness to identify with the organizational culture as described earlier.
