The Public Prosecutor is demanding prison sentences of up to seven years against a group of Polish men who are said to have carried out various violent jobs here. The group was in contact with the suspected organizer of the murder of Peter R. de Vries.
According to the Public Prosecution Service, the men were hired in varying compositions for criminal jobs, such as serious assault in Eindhoven. Intercepted messages would show that they have beaten a man with a hammer. It was never made clear who the victim was.
In addition, there would have been a job in Lopik, where a man should be shot in the knee and hands. According to the Public Prosecution Service, this order seems to have come from Ridouan Taghi, because a message has been found that he was disappointed that the assault had not been carried out.
Another job in Groningen also went wrong. According to the Public Prosecution Service, three men were there to collect an outstanding debt from someone. It would have been the intention to abuse him too, but that failed.
Furthermore, a number of men are said to have set fire to a company in Best and robbed a rapper in The Hague of his shoes, jacket and telephone. Reports would show that the suspects were actually targeting his very expensive watch.
Raid
The police tracked down the group after a raid on a house in October 2021 in The Hague. In addition to two suspects, Krystian M., who allegedly coordinated the murder of Peter R. de Vries, was also arrested there. Justice thinks that he has also done other violent jobs in his Polish circle of acquaintances.
One of the suspects was apprehended with a pistol, rifle, silencer and ammunition in the car. The OM is demanding seven years in prison against him and a co-defendant. For the others, the sentence varies from ten months to 4.5 years in prison.
More suspects will be charged in the case later this month. They would have been involved in a huge stock of weapons in Alphen aan den Rijn and in the shooting of a man in the Dominican Republic.
