According to the Public Prosecution Service in Den Bosch, the National Criminal Investigation Department arrested an employee of the municipality of Meierijstad on Monday morning on suspicion of corruption. The 33-year-old man is said to have sold license plate information for payment.

The public prosecutor’s office says that the investigation started after the National Criminal Investigation Department received information about the official. His job allowed him to check license plates and he would provide that information to unauthorized persons for a fee.
