'Next top transfer FC Twente coming up: Cerny reaches personal agreement'

FC Twente is going to lose another key player with Vaclav Cerny. The 25-year-old Czech has reached a personal agreement with VfL Wolfsburg on a four-year contract, De Telegraaf reports.

Cerny seems to be crowning his top season with a dream transfer. The wing attacker was worth gold for the Tukkers with fifteen goals and thirteen assists in forty official matches. With this he has dealt with his injury problems of recent years.

FC Twente and Wolfsburg still have to reach an agreement. The number eight in the Bundesliga expects Cerny to cost around six to seven million euros, plus bonuses. The Enschede club paid one million to FC Utrecht two years ago, which is now entitled to a ‘solid resale percentage’.

Cerny, who was also in the interest of AZ, previously played for Ajax. After Ramiz Zerrouki, he becomes the second player to leave FC Twente for a million dollar amount.
