Roxy posted a preview of her new song on TikTok last week. Many fans are reusing the sound and the reactions to the preview are extremely enthusiastic. On the social media platform, Roxy will reveal on Wednesday the date on which everyone can listen to the entire song.
In a video in which Roxy plays back to the song in the car with her boyfriend Koen, she writes: “It will be released on June 7!🥳” Her fans are really looking forward to this day. This is how someone responded: “OMG finally.” Someone else wrote: “Great, really looking forward to it!”
Edisons
Roxy’s success is so great that she recently won an Edison in the ‘Newcomer’ category. The singer feels some pressure now that she has won this award. “I feel the pressure, but that is only a good thing, because it gives me more motivation to continue,” the singer told ANP after the Edison gala.
In recent years, artists such as Davina Michelle, Snelle and MEAU won the newcomers’ prize and they all won prizes again at later awards. “Hopefully it will be the first of many for me too. That would be nice. But you never know how things will turn out.”
“I definitely didn’t expect it. That was also reflected in my speech,” said Roxy, who could not hold back her tears of joy. “Of course I immediately started crying again. But no, not normal. I am very happy.”
