A great new film opportunity for Jim Bakkum presents itself. Producer Johan Nijenhuis will soon make their sixth film together with Jim. Production house Nijenhuis & Co announced this on Sunday. It is an as yet untitled comedy based on an idea by Bakkum. The actor will also act as a producer for the first time. The intention is for the film to hit theaters in 2025.
“I am extremely grateful for all the opportunities Johan has given me,” Bakkum reports. “I can’t wait for the next collaboration. We are working on a new project in which, for the first time, I will not only play the leading role.”
It will be a new step in the career of the 36-year-old actor, who is currently appearing in a serious stage performance for the first time. The play Showmeister by theater group Oostpool received rave reviews. “Jim shows a depth that suits his age on several fronts,” says Nijenhuis. It is not yet known who will direct the film.
