The LEGO Group and the Defender are celebrating 75 years of Land Rover together with a new set: the LEGO Icons Classic Land Rover Defender 90. The set consists of 2,336 parts and is complete with all accessories for an off-road expedition.
It’s a two-in-one set that allows the builder to choose between an everyday version for the road or a modified version ready for adventure.
75 years Land Rover
The Defender now has 75 years of experience with expeditions on any terrain. Instantly recognized worldwide, the model has a unique track record of adventure, humanitarianism and just plain hard work.
The 32 cm LEGO model makes that clear with accessories such as a roof rack, raised air intake, front bumper with working winch, protective running boards, tool box and ramps for driving through mud and sand. The model is also equipped with a working steering and suspension. The bonnet and doors open and the interior features all the details of the true Classic Defender.

To introduce the new set, the LEGO Group placed a real Classic Defender in the Scottish Highlands. That Defender was the most difficult to reach LEGO Store in the world for the occasion. That called for a challenge and adventurers Raha Moharrak and Aldo Kane took it up. Which of them will be the first at the Defender to discover and build the new set?
