Bussum / Huizen – On Tuesday, February 14, a 33-year-old man from Naarden was arrested who is suspected of having committed several burglaries. The police were able to arrest the man after finding DNA traces and an anonymous tip via Meld Misdaad Anoniem. Several expensive watches, jewelry, designer bags and cash were found in the suspect’s home.

On February 3, the police received a report of a burglary at the Graaf Wichmanlaan in Bussum. The house had been turned upside down and expensive jewelry, including watches, was missing. Report Crime Anonymous received a tip about this burglary in Bussum. The suspect would have stolen items at home and sell them.

The police then decided to search the home of the 33-year-old man from Naarden. Indeed, several expensive watches, jewellery, designer bags and cash were found here. The man was subsequently arrested and detained. The suspect can also be linked to a burglary at the Naarderstraat in Huizen, where DNA traces of him were found. It is now clear who owns a number of items found; these indeed turned out to be stolen.
