Moped rider continues after collision with cyclist, police are looking for witnesses

Kapelle – The mother of a 12-year-old boy from Kruiningen reported this morning to the police on behalf of her son about an abandoned place of accident and abuse. The incident happened on Wednesday, February 15, around 12:15 p.m. on Jufferswegje. The boy was cycling there with a friend. He was shoved on the shoulder by a passing moped rider, causing him to fall to the ground. The perpetrator drove on. The victim suffered abrasions and a concussion from the fall. His bicycle was damaged. Police are looking for witnesses to the incident.

A 12-year-old boy cycled with a friend on the Jufferswegje towards Kruingen. He heard hooting behind him near the Fruit Barn. He then steered to the right, but suddenly felt a push against his shoulder. He fell to the ground and landed on his face. In a flash he saw that a moped rider with a black helmet drove past him. The boy suffered abrasions to his face and a mild concussion. His boyfriend called for help. The moped rider continued without disclosing his identity and without caring for the victim.
