Minors interrogated for robbery in Leiderdorp

Leiderdorp – Last week, the police interrogated a total of five suspects in connection with their possible involvement in a street robbery in Leiderdorp. There, on February 25, a 14-year-old boy from Leiderdorp and a 15-year-old boy from Zoeterwoude were robbed of their belongings under threat. The decision regarding the prosecution of the suspects is currently with the Public Prosecution Service.

At around 10 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, the police received a report that a street robbery had been committed on Leeuwerikstraat. At the scene, officers found the two victims, who stated that they had been robbed by a group of boys.

The detective started an investigation that led to the arrest of two suspects on Tuesday 28 February. Both suspects, aged 14 and 17 from Leiden and Leiderdorp, were arrested. They were released after questioning. Three other suspected suspects reported to the police station on Thursday 2 March at the invitation of the police. They too have been questioned. The investigation into this case has not yet been completed and the Public Prosecution Service is making a decision on whether to prosecute the 5 suspects.
