The RID Utrecht (Utrecht Regional ICT Service) is looking for a:

Microsoft Solution Engineer

for 36 hours per week

Who works with us with enthusiasm and in a committed manner and takes care of the architecture, design and management of Microsoft technology and platform services.

Where will you work?

The RID Utrecht is the ICT partner for 7 organizations; the municipalities of Baarn, Bunnik, De Bilt, Soest, Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Wijk bij Duurstede and the Regional Social Service Kromme Rijn Heuvelrug. These organizations jointly represent approximately 220,000 residents. From Doorn, our RID employees support more than 2,200 employees in the province of Utrecht. In our young and informal organization we work intensively together on further professionalization and innovation of the IT infrastructure and services. With us, you take initiative and consciously work to raise the quality of service to residents and companies to a higher level.

What are you going to do?

As a Microsoft Solution Engineer, you are responsible for planning, designing, building, configuring, migrating, integrating and managing the Microsoft front-end and back-end platform services. Your goal is also to guarantee and improve the operation, quality and stability of the platform services. The development roadmap arises from a regional vision of the digital workspace of the future. You work on constructing, setting up and realizing the IT services of this vision.

Who are we looking for?

You are an enthusiastic and committed professional with political sensitivity and problem-solving skills. We are looking for a Microsoft Solutions Engineer who embraces the principle that ‘you own what you build and realize’ and monitors that standards and usage guidelines are adhered to. You feel comfortable in a team but are also able to work independently. You do not hesitate to give unsolicited advice. Furthermore, you communicate clearly at all levels, you are service and customer oriented and you therefore make an active contribution to the realization of our objectives and plans. You play an important role in communicating with and advising representatives in the user organization and fellow IT specialists. This makes you one of our business cards!

Your ideal profile

For this position you must have extensive technical knowledge and skills with regard to Microsoft front- and back-end technology, you are familiar with the various implementation options and you can ensure that the platform services are adequately set up and operationally managed.

• You have an HBO working and thinking level;
• Specific knowledge and certification in several of the following aspects:
• Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security Suite (EMS, Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune)
• Microsoft Operations Management Suite (Log Analytics, Azure Automation, backup and site recovery)
• Azure) Active Directory and Hybrid Identity (AD Connect)
• Microsoft Defender products (AD/AAD/M365/Cloud App Security)
• Microsoft Purview regarding compliance issues
• Exchange (Online)/Hybrid Exchange
• MicrosoftPowerPlatform
• Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022
• Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise)
• Microsoft Azure (including Azure IaaS, Azure AD & Security)
• PowerShell
• Knowledge of the following is an advantage:
• Modern workplace based on Citrix XenApp with App layering
• VMWare and Citrix
• TOPdesk

You also have these competencies:

• You are an expert discussion partner for colleagues and clients, you see connections and bring topics and content together.
• You have a clear vision on developments in the field of digital collaboration.
• You are socially skilled, you can communicate convincingly in written and oral form and you make contact easily.
• You have a sense of humor.

What do we offer?

Depending on education and experience, a maximum salary of €5,247 applies (scale 10 salary table for municipal officials, new structure, reference date January 1, 2024). Amounts apply to a 36-hour working week, which can be completed flexibly. In addition to your monthly salary, you receive a contribution every month for your Individual Choice Budget (IKB). This SCV consists of 17.05% of your gross monthly salary each month. With this budget you can make choices that suit your stage of life, personal wishes and goals. So you decide when and for what you use your budget. Consider, for example, purchasing extra holiday hours, extra income through payment of the budget, training/bicycle, etc.
