Amsterdam – On Monday afternoon, March 18, 2024, two Amsterdam residents aged 24 and 26 were arrested in an ongoing investigation. The men are suspected of a street robbery on September 12, 2023 in a parking lot near the Kikkenstein apartment on Groesbeekdreef in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. The victim was assaulted and robbed of his exclusive watch.
On Tuesday, September 12, 2023 between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM, the victim was assaulted and forcibly robbed of his exclusive watch. Shortly before, the man returns to his car in the Kikkenstein parking lot after visiting the adjacent apartment. As he puts things in the trunk of his car, he hears someone coming towards him at a quick pace. Before he knows it, he receives blows to the head and a second suspect appears shortly afterwards and holds him down. During the struggle, the suspects manage to take the victim’s exclusive watch and run away. The victim is left injured and shocked. The police are alerted and are still searching the area for the suspects. Unfortunately they are no longer found.
Arrest
The arrested suspects came into the picture after an intensive criminal investigation. Thanks to the efforts and expertise of the police experts, including Forensic Investigation, the suspects could ultimately be located and arrested.
