These are the best overtakes of the month of April
Since the start of the 2023 season, votes have been taken every month for the best overtake of the month. Fernando Alonso secured the first election with a great overtake on Lewis Hamilton in Bahrain. May has now started, and that means that Formula 1 has listed the best promotions to vote for. Alonso is back among the contenders, as are Sainz, Stroll, Ocon and Norris.
New hint from Alonso about possible relationship with Taylor Swift
In recent weeks, rumors have been circulating about a possible relationship between Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso and pop star Taylor Swift. The Spaniard can laugh about it and literally and figuratively winks at the camera while he is training hard with music from the American singer. Alonso himself will also be on his way to the United States in the coming days to participate in the race in Miami.
Leclerc sows confusion by accent: “I said cat, not cut”
During the race on Sunday, a cat was briefly on the track. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc therefore shouted into his radio: ‘There is a cat!’ Still, the message didn’t seem to get across very well, because his accent made it seem like he was saying there was a cut, which he could use to indicate a problem with the car. Fortunately, that turned out not to be the case and it was just a pussy on the road.
Steiner interrupts Isola: “And here is Mario who proclaims bullshit”
Günther Steiner hilariously interrupted a Pirelli video. The team boss walked into Mario Isola’s shot and put his arm on the shoulder of the Pirelli boss: “And here’s Mario spouting bullshit.”
De Vries’ crucial and unnecessary mistake
Nyck de Vries had a dramatic weekend in Azerbaijan. The AlphaTauri driver crashed twice at the Baku City Circuit and one of those crashes was during Sunday’s feature race. The Dutchman hit the wall with the left front wheel and his suspension broke. This crash started the strategic joust of the teams.
